The City’s Parking Division has proposed changes to on-street parking. The goal is to provide consumers with greater flexibility and to increase efficiency of street parking.

The Parking Division has reached out to Central City business organizations for feedback and there has been initial support, but the proposed changes are still being evaluated. If changes to our parking policies are made, they must be thoughtful to the needs of residents, visitors, and businesses.

On August 12, I’ll host a community meeting to discuss the proposed changes. We’ll have staff from Parking present to discuss the rationale and answer questions. The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm at the Hart Senior Center, 915 27th Street. For more information about the meeting, don’t hesitate to call my office at 916.808.7004.
