On January 14, City Council voted to activate the Stage 2 Water Conservation Plan. This requires customers to reduce their water use by 20%. The reduction is expected to be largely achieved through increased enforcement of the City’s Conservation Ordinance, enhanced conservation measure at City facilities, and an enhanced public education campaign.

The City offers rebates for high-efficiency toilets and select high-efficiency clothes washers, as well as free Water Wise House Calls to help customers find ways to save water in and around their property. For more information on these services, please visit www.SpareSacWater.org or call 311 or 916-264-5011. More information on the Stage 2 Conservation Plan is available in the press release below.
